Good Morning, Beautiful Lady,
I'm just hangin' around the apartment at the moment. I'll probably venture out a little later in the afternoon when it's a little less muggy. The air is like soup right now, lol. Maybe I'll head up to Aliso or Limekiln around 3 or 4. Not sure yet, but slowly I'll decide.
I hope your day is off to a good start. I'll check in later and I'll be around here for a while.
I Love You, Elizabeth! xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo :):)
7:35pm : Hi, my Darling, I am back home. At 3:30 I went out to the Stagecoach Trail at Andora St. and went way up near the top of the mountain this time, the farthest I have gone. I don't think I could have gone much farther actually. It was just gigantic boulders at that point, and sheer rock face. One of my photos didn't post in the newsfeed for some reason, or on my FB profile, but it's in my 2014 album, right at the end before the latest tree shot. It shows where I was, way up above the railroad tracks.
I was gonna do a twofer and head over to Aliso when I was done, but by the time I got back down to my car, I said, "You know what?.........forget it". Lol. That was enough hiking for one day, and I think I got real close to the Devil's Slide, which I vow to find! Last Fall, I vowed to find a Chumash cave, and I did, so now it's the Devil's Slide.....
I hope you had a nice day. I'm just gonna hang around a while and do the rest of my walk later, so I will be here. And, I will also check back in at the usual time.
I Love You! xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo :):)
10:10pm : I'm just checking to see if you're there, if everything is okay. It's another one of those days with zero page hits on the blog. I will be up for a while, so I'll check back. Hope all is well.
11:40pm : It still says zero on the page views, so I don't know what's up. I saw your post earlier, of Tina's picture, so you must be around. Sigh.
I had a few days off and I was hoping we could hang out a little bit. I'm just trying to make conversation. I know you're working, or at least I think so, and I know that what I write may not always be of interest. I also know you have other friends and projects, but it's just hard for me when I don't know what's going on.
Is everything okay? I hope so. I will be glad when we can one day have regular conversations.
I will try again in the morning. I Love You, Elizabeth. xoxoxoxoxxoxoxoxoxoxoxo :):)
12:30pm : I have been looking at things, because this is bugging me, and I can see that something is going on. I hope you will explain it to me. Thanks.

Happy Monday Love (movie) (I'm back) (just to say goodnight)
Good Afternoon, my Darling,
I love those beautiful photos, especially the dragonflies. That's us! :):) I hope your week is off to a good start, though you may be at work (if indeed you are working and I think you are). I awoke a little earlier, 9:45 to be exact, and have just been hanging around ever since. Later I will finish my drawing. Grimsley wants me to go with him this evening to see "A Hard Day's Night" (Beatles movie) at a theater downtown. It's a restored print. I may or may not go, not sure yet.
I hope you are getting the chance to take some photos and do other fun stuff. I am just gonna stay in for now, I may venture down to the store or over to the Redbox in a little while.
I Love You and wanna do fun stuff with you!
xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo :):)
5:25pm : I am gonna go to the Beatles movie with Grimsley, just for something to do. It starts at 7:30 and runs about 90 minutes, so if it ends at 9 I should be home by 10. For now I will be here til 6:15. I wish it was us going to the movies together! :):)
10:30pm : I'm back. The movie was a lot of fun. I am gonna have something to eat and then I'll write more in just a little while. I Love You! xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo :):)
11:20pm : Hi, my Angel. Are you there? I know it's late. The page views for the day still reads "0", so I am guessing you were busy. Maybe you are working on a project or just doing something fun. Anyway, I am off again tomorrow so I will check in when I wake up. For now I'll be awake a little while longer on FB.
Always thinking about you, always Love You. xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo :):)

Super Sleep-In (Gotta Draw) (hooked)
Good Morning, my Angel,
Wow......now that was a sleep-in! I woke up a little while ago, the clock read 10:30. Nine hours sleep. Usually on my first night off, my body automatically reacts to it's normal schedule and I wake up around 6:30 and then go back to sleep. Not this time. I was out cold, but I know I needed it!
Now I am having some coffee. Oatmeal and banana coming up, then I'll join you in a cup of mead for the soccer final. Go Germany! I picked 'em to win it all a while back.....
Later on I may wander about aimlessly. I'll know when the time comes, haha.
Right now all I know is that I Love You!
I'll check back in later on. xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo :):)
7:40pm : Okay, I actually did it (not that it's any big deal to do, but) I did get out a set of chalk pastels that my sister had given me two or three years ago. Then I got out a piece of typing paper. I know I've gotta get a real sketch pad, but I used to use typing paper and it works good in a pinch. And, I have been working on a drawing for the first time in three years. Oh boy! :)
I am doing it for the reasons stated last night. Because something has been bugging me to draw. And last night we talked about why that happens, and how very often we don't listen to that inner voice.
So this time I took my own advice. I took a walk a little while ago, just down to the Oviatt and back, and I told myself "I will draw when I get back", even though I wasn't feeling any real urge at the moment. But I knew the Inner Voice would remind me again if I didn't, so when I got back at about 6:45, I did.
I've never used chalk pastels before, so it's kinda smudgy. And, I have no real ability to draw. But I love to start sketching and see what the end result is! Right now I have about a third of the paper covered. I will start up again in a few minutes and do some more, but I wanted to check in cause I Love You and think you are Wonderful, and also because I am having fun. And also because You are An Artist, and you understand these things.........:):)
(back in a bit)
11:40pm : I did not finish my drawing this evening but I did get the feel back, of how I was doing them in 2011 when I was drawing every night. It's a blast, and now I see how I got hooked. For me it is like automatic writing, just let the subconscious dictate the movements of the arm, wrist and fingers. What is interesting, with visual art (painting and drawing) is the effect the "hand tools" have on the end result. When I was painting in 1995 at the Burton Street house with Mr.D, I think I did my best work with this type of art, because using paint brushes, and standing up, really allowed me to get a rhythm going. It's interesting how rhythm plays a part in so many art forms, even writing. Using paint brushes allowed me to sweep, and get more of my body into it, moving around the canvas, etc.
When I am sitting and drawing, all the focus goes into the wrist, which tends to move more quickly than the whole arm with the wrist and hand as the control point, as in painting.
But I still had a blast, just because it's fun to draw. I will finish this one tomorrow.
Another great day, I think. Germany won the Cup, and we love those Germans (one in particular)......
I had a nice sleep-in and feel rested, so that was good too. A nice, quiet Sunday, all in all. I hope you enjoyed the day, and your weekend.
I Love You and will see you in the morn, probably a little earlier than 10:30 this time, lol.

Chillin' & Sending Love :):) (Babies) (a great Summer)
Hi, my Darling,
Just checking in to say I'm home. I've been home for a couple hours, just getting situated and relaxing. Did my shopping earlier this afternoon, sans sister Vickie once again. Well, now I'm off til next Thursday at 4:30. I hope you are having a great day. I will be around all evening except for walk time later on.
I Love You. xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo :):)
10:10pm : Hey Beautiful Girl, did you see the moon tonight? It was real big and round, a Supermoon they called it. Because it was a Full Moon, it reminded me again of that particular Full Moon........one I am sure we will always remember. I had a fun evening. I was thinking about the Santa Susanas, because I've been up there a lot lately, and I've also done some Googling about the movie ranches that used to be there, and I remembered that I have an old dvd, the kind you used to be able to get at the 99 Cent Store, what they call a "public domain" film because it's so old that the copyrights have expired. I bought a ton of old horror films and other public domain stuff when they used to have 'em at 99 Cent, and one of the ones I bought was an old Western called "Paroled To Die", starring a guy named Bob Steele. It turns out he was a pretty big star in what they called "Matinee Westerns", which were only an hour long and were shown at theaters in the old days as part of an afternoon program, which also included a full-length feature (and probably a cartoon, too).
Anyway, I remembered watching "Paroled To Die" with my Mom, back when we used to watch movies together, and I remembered that it was shot up in the hills there, where the Stagecoach Trail is located. So, I pulled it out and watched it again, just for fun, to see the locations. It's funny, because the rocks and hills and trails are there, but nothing else. No streets, no houses, nothing. The movie was made in 1938 and the Valley was mostly undeveloped then. I wish it still was, lol.
Even though the movie was a little cheesy, it was still fun and held my attention, so now I am looking for more Bob Steele films from that era. :)
I will check back in, in a little while.
And hey, Sweet Baby! Tonight, I am your Baby, as per Humans Of New York. Very often You are my Baby, but tonight it's the other way around. I love it!
And in truth, we are always Each Other's Baby, all the time.
I Love You, Elizabeth! xoxoxoxooxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo :):)
(there's two in a row in there somewhere)
(back in a bit)
11:45pm : I am enjoying the Schumann piece. Perfect nighttime piano music with lots of tone. Thinking about you and hoping you had a nice day. One thing I wanna do during my days off is to do a drawing, pastels or colored pencils, just to do it. In 2011, I was doing a lot of drawing, most nights in fact. They were all abstract, but I have a box full of them because I got so into it that year. And I haven't done any since, so I think I will try just one, sometime in the next few days.
When you need to do something, you can feel it calling you. "Oh, there I am, thinking about it again". Something you fancy or enjoy doing will cross your mind ("remember when you used to draw"?...) and you go "oh, yeah. That was fun, wasn't it"? But then it crosses your mind again.
And then again.
And you realise it's trying to tell you something.
"Draw".
And so, at that point, you decide to make some time to do it.
That's an example of how the creative mind sustains itself. It suggests things, in the constant thought-stream of daily life.
"Take a walk". Okay, I do that all the time.
"Notice the trees". Yeah, I love those too.
It's not easy to break out of the daily routine, but the creative mind doesn't give up.
"Look for patterns". Okay. Now I am alert! (and connected).
The creative mind has ways of getting your attention, and it is persistent.
I have been exploring the perimeters of the Valley, ever since I saw that photo of "Garden Of The Gods" about a year ago. I had no real interest in hiking a year ago, although the silhouette of the Santa Susanas have always fascinated me for as long as I can remember. And so, all it took was a trigger. The photo, on FB, of The Garden.
I've been exploring ever since. And it would not have occured to me to do so had I not seen that photograph.
So that's the creative mind, badgering it's owner.
"Hey you! Do another drawing"!
After hearing it a few times, you just go "okay". And then you do one.
So it's something I will do during my time off. Just to do it.
I Love You, Elizabeth. This is a great Summer.

Happy Friday Night :):) (back from Aliso) (squeaky)
Hi, my Darling,
I'm writing from Pearl's because I am gonna meet Grimsley up at Aliso once again after work. We are gonna walk the trail up and back, so I will be home between 8:30 and 9pm, just like last time. I hope you had a nice day, and that your weekend is off to a great start. I will be off tomorrow for 5 days, beginning at 9:30am. One more early wake-up and then five sleep-ins, coming up. Oh boy!
Well, I just wanted to check in and tell you I Love You. I will see you when I get back from Aliso.
xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo :):)
9pm : I am back. Sweet Baby is nothing if not always funny, and I have to agree that long afternoon naps (or even short ones) are high on my list of Things That Rule! My own Le Chat Noir loves 'em too, out on the patio table at Pearl's, and two of her other favorite things are to entice me to come over and pet her while she's laying there, and then to take a swing at me when she remembers that she used to be feral. It's like, "ooh, pet me, pet me, pet me.......yeah, that's nice, yeah right there behind my ears......oh, thank you, that feels so good........SWING!
Out of the blue, so you've gotta be careful or you wind up with bloody claw marks on the back or your hand. But she's got the right idea about naps. Nowdays, rarely a day goes by where I don't get at least a 5 or 10 minuter in there at some point during the day. But today I was on the go since 7:30 at Pearl's, then all the way out to Glendale to take my sister shopping, then all the way back (but at least listening to new Judas Priest the whole time). Then it was back to Pearl's and then at 6:30 I drove up to Aliso to meet Grim for a walk. So, I've been go-go-going, but now I am back.
And.......I Love my Baby!!
So I will now take my shoes off and relax, but I won't take a nap, because if I do I'll be out like a light. And I've still gotta finish my walk.......yeah, I know I'm crazy, but somebody's gotta be. So first, relax, then finish walk, then I'll be back at the usual time. Boy am I ever looking forward to those five sleep-ins. :)
xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo :):)
(back in a bit)
11:35pm : You aren't kidding with that Peter Hollens post. The English dude in the video nailed it, and I will tell you what the worst example is, of that kind of "song". I admit that from time to time I have listened to the alt rock station, usually while driving, just because I got tired of the classic rock station and the 35 different songs they play. Alt rock has some songs I like from the 90s, but they also have "songs" like the one that goes "I got twenty dollars in my pock-et.........this is f***ing awesome". Not only does it feature incredibly stupid lyrics, but even more annoyingly, it has one of those idiotic "squeaky bassoon" style noises throught it's interminable duration.
Oy!
It's been going on for so long now, all the rap and dumbell culture stuff, that when I hear it I just mutter to myself, "...the opposite of Yes.....", as if to acknowledge that people once did listen to something other than this stuff.
But the guy in the video sure nailed it; it's a formula with which to hook people who have been dumbed down. Just be glad you are not one of them, lol.
Well, tonight "supertired" is the key word. So I will sign off for now, and wish you Sweet Dreams, and then I will see you in the morn.
I Love You, Elizabeth! xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo :):)

Entangled (life is art)
Good Evening, my Beautiful Darling,
I am home from Pearl's. A regular Thursday, with a trip to the hair salon. No park this morn; Pearl was sleepy so I took Kobedoggie for a neighborhood walk instead. This afternoon, I went to see my friend Dennis. He made me a burn of the new Judas Priest cd. What I've heard so far sounds like classic Priest, so I am excited about the Fall tour, even though original guitarist KK Downing is gone.....
I hope you had an awesome day. I notice you have made a couple recent posts about Elon Musk and Tesla technology. I had to look him up a while back when he was in the news, because I had gotten him confused with the guy who invented Google (Sergey Brin). Anyway, I don't know if you posted because of Musk, or the Tesla car, or Tesla technology, or any combination of those, but if Tesla technology interests you, we have that in common because I am fascinated with every aspect of it. Not a lot of people even know who he was, nor anything about his inventions and theories, but you are a technical wizard so it is no surprise that you would understand those concepts.
Joe Farrell talks about two kinds of studies of physics: 1) What he calls "public consumption" physics, which is all the stuff that's been taught for several centuries now, and features benchmarks and laws like the Theory of Relativity and the Speed of Light, and then Quantum theory, which led to an even greater understanding of the Universe.
But the other type of physics Joe writes about is the off-the-books stuff, the stuff, like Tesla's discoveries, that were so out there - and so powerful - that they got buried by the government and by his fellow scientists who were more conventional than he.
Anyhow, perhaps I will write a little more about it later, but what Tesla was really tuned into were the natural and gigantic forces in the Universe, and how they all interrelated with one another. He understood systems entanglement. Dr. Farrell thinks he was the greatest scientist of all time, even more so than Einstein.
Right now I am gonna relax for just a few, then do some dishes and go for part of my walk. No hikes today, so I've gotta do all my mileage tonight, but it's a beautiful evening, so no biggie.
I will be here til 8:30 and then back at the usual time. I Love You!
xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo :):)
11:45pm : Yeah, my Baby, there's some entanglement right there in your friend's photo. :) Either that or coinciding lines of force, haha. We could have some great conversations about all of these things, and we will. We will also observe awesome things together. I think a guy like Tesla had the training of a scientist but the creative mind of an artist, so he truly saw the Big Picture in the way everything is connected (i.e. entangled) with everything else. He was able to understand the processes of transfer throughout the Universe, and the ways in which waves interact within localised geometries.
I think a guy like that - truly a one of a kind genius - had the ability to intuit the Universe, and he saw all the abstract patterns and transfers and balances of waves and energies that are pulsed from stars and bounced to other celestial bodies like a giant puzzle of connect the dots.
The difference with Tesla is that, because he could intuit all of this, he could dispense with scientific protocol and just go for it. And he invented, or rediscovered things - principles - which may have been known in the times of very ancient precursor civilisations that pre-date even Sumer and Egypt. There is growing evidence that, very long ago, prior to what we know of history, there existed a civilisation of high understanding and technology. They understood things like Lines Of Magnetic Force and Grid Systems in the Earth that carried in a connect-the-dots way to the geometries created by local planets and stars. That's what Tesla understood intuitively. And that's why they all but buried his discoveries, and why most people have never heard of him.
When I was in high school, I had never heard his name.
At any rate, these subjects are near and dear to me. We will have some great conversations one day soon.

Artistic Intent (Aliso) (critters) (bottom line)
Good Morning, my Angel,
I am at home, just returning from Lake Balboa with Pearl and The Kobester. Pearl was supposed to have a big Reseda Women's Club meeting this morn, but when we got there at 9:30 it had been cancelled, so we went to the lake instead. And now I am back.
I saw your posts when I dropped Pearl off. I was glad to hear from you, just because things seemed a little quiet there for a few days. Those are beautiful pictures by the two photographers, and the one by Veronika T. reminds me of a Dave Small type of shot. You remember, he is my late friend who was also a painter but he took photos, too, and some of his best shots were blurred or deliberately out of focus. This pic reminds me of that, it is impressionistic and what I will call "pure photography" for want of a more thought-out term. "Pure" because it's all about capturing the moment, without regards to technical aspects, and you know I love that kind of stuff because then what is captured is just the intent of the photographer. No set-up or planning, just a moment of "oh, I've gotta capture that". So, pure photography.
I love all kinds of photos, including the more technically perfect, but I also love what might be considered imperfect, because there are so many different ways an image can move you. I never would have thought about out-of-focus photography before I saw Dave do it......
The photos by Olivia Bidleman are beautiful, too. There is one line in her comment, and it may just be coincidental to your liking of her post and pictures, but just in case you meant it to be noticed, I will mention it. It is the line about her doubting herself. You probably remember, way back in our early days, that we talked about that subject when you were thinking about recording music for Neige to hear. I just remind you, like I did back then, never to compare yourself to others, or to hold your work up to anyone else's, be it in music or photography or anything else. That is the only thing I can think of that would make a person doubt themselves or their talent. And again, that comment by her may be only coincidental and have nothing to do with why you liked her post.
But never compare, because it's always all about You. That's what makes your talent. If you judge it by how "good" you think someone else is, then you are making your work all about them , and that takes away from the spirit in your work.
The spirit in your work is your talent. Forget any technical aspects for the moment, because while they are important, anyone can learn them. Just like anyone can learn to shred if they practice hard enough, but to make beautiful music, well........that requires spirit, introspection, listening to your muse, all those inward qualities that you can only reach by focusing all your artistic attention on You.
Bring out the You in your work.
I know it's not always as easy as it sounds, but also remember that feelings of doubt come and go, and you always know what the real feeling is, because that's when you feel on top of the world and you are taking pictures or making music, or even cooking or anything you love to do, and everything feels perfect .
In those moments and on those days, you are not doubting and thinking about comparisons; no, on those days you are totally immersed in what You are doing. And you know it just feels so right. "This is me, this is what I do, I can feel it in my soul, it is good, it is what I am meant to do, to think about, and I am meant to feel this way".
That's when it's all about You, artistically speaking.
Also keep in mind that any feelings of melancholia can always be physically related, too. That's why I used to remind you to always try and keep your blood sugar level, and to get enough sleep, or if something is bothering you or worrying you, to talk about it. All those things will help keep you feeling good physically, which is directly related to feeling good emotionally. Maybe they don't correlate totally, but good physical energy definitely influences the emotions in a positive way.
And, I know you know all that stuff. I'm just reminding you anyway, like I used to do, just for the heck of it.
I take it that you may be working this Summer. Remember I had asked about that a few weeks ago? I wasn't sure, but in the pic of your arm w/ German flag, it looks like you are in an office or workplace. If you are working, you are probably wishing you could get out and do more stuff.
And you are going to! For now, just let the work hours pass and focus on your real self. Keep your intent strong, and hold onto it quietly, at all times. Feel God with you always, and know that God wants for you what you want for you. God, the way you believe in God. Think good things for yourself and for the world, it creates energy that harmonises with God's energy.
But during the hours of the day, think about You the Artist. Think your thoughts and keep your good things close to heart and create your world. You can do your work on automatic pilot (at least sort of), but you can immerse yourself in your world, your thoughts, with intent, and in that way you will create your own life......
.....and remember what I have said in the past : that you are already in the process of creating that life . You are already living it, living your life as an Artist. Even on days when you can't take a picture, because of work or some other obligation, you are still living that life because you are thinking it .
It's where your Intent is.
I am with you all the way, of course, and as you go along you are going to see more and more things fall into line the way you want them to. Just keep doing it, keep thinking it, keep your Intent. Keep God with you because God wants You to be You, and You know when You are being You because you can feel it.
Like for me, when I am out on the trails. I only just discovered that last year, because I was never in my life a trail person before. But something drew me there : God, or God Energy, or whatever you want to call it. Something drew me there, and I paid attention to it, and now, when I go out there, it is another way that I feel like The Real Me.
So my point is that you know when you are feeling that way, and you know it connects you to your spirit, and your spirit connects you to God (which always means your God, the way you feel God).
Anyhow, that's all my rambling for this morning. However, I will be back to ramble some more, after I get home this evening, oh boy! :)
That is a beautiful song you posted also, by Eluveitie. We are gonna walk some trails together, my Darling, you and I. Up into the rocks and mountains, just to see what we can see.....
I Love You, Elizabeth. Everyday, all the time. Have an awesome afternoon!

5:55pm : Hi, my Baby. I'm still at Pearl's, but I wanted to let you know that I am gonna be meeting Grimsley for a quick walk through Aliso Canyon when I get off work. Aliso is the one that's closest to my apartment, and an easy hike (more of a walk, really). So, I will be home no later than 9pm, and maybe a little earlier. I hope you are enjoying your evening and I will see you when I get back.
I Love You, Elizabeth! xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo :):)
10:15pm : Good Evening, my Darling. I am writing a little earlier, just because I wanted to say I Love You. I am a kookoo bird today because I did two hikes. I went back to Stagecoach Trail at Andora St. (only 15 minutes from my place, so no big deal getting there) at 2pm, even though it was hot again, just because it is awesome out there, and when you go you rarely see another person, and so it's just you and the landscape, and the landscape really gets inside you. I love it out there, and also I am still trying to find the Devil's Slide crossing site. So, I was out there from 2:30 to 3:30, then I came back and went to Pearl's, and then this eve I met Grim up at Aliso Canyon, which is more of a walk than a hike, but still nice.
So I'm all trailed out for the moment. We saw quite a few wild bunny rabbits at Aliso this eve. They are small, brownish creatures who don't seem too scared of humans. They go hopping across the trail and then sit there a few feet away, looking at you. Maybe people feed them.
I am really sorry to see the eagle that's been shot. I don't understand human cruelty, nor this country's love of guns and shooting things. Again, because I do eat meat I always have to make a disclaimer because even salmon or tuna has been pulled from the water so I can consume it. But in the case of the eagle, I think it's safe to say that no one was going to eat it, nor did they need it for food, so to shoot it was just pure cruelty.
Not only that, but it's either an endangered species or close to it. They don't allow eagle hunting, I don't imagine. So there's no excuse whatsoever for shooting it. The thing is, also - and this can be especially maddening - is that it isn't always malicious cruelty that causes a person to want to do this. It can simply be mindless cruelty, or what my sister would call a lower consciousness. A person of lower intelligence and consciousness has a gun - because "everybody has one" and/or it's part of his surrounding culture, something he never questions - and because he "has one", he just wants to go out and shoot something with it. Doesn't matter what it is, more or less.
That's mindless cruelty, almost as bad in it's own way as malicious cruelty because the end result is the same.
Well, I am sorry to see it and I hope they catch the person who did it.
On a lighter note, I am rooting for you to win that gorgeous PRS! I am glad you are still playing guitar, though it's kind of a dumb thought on my part, because why would you not? :)
I am playing a lot myself, and learning to compensate for this ridiculous finger I now have. It's bent pretty bad now, but so far it has not impeded me too badly.
I am gonna eat something real quick, so I will post now and then come back in about a half hour or so, at my usual late night time.
xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo :):)
(back in a bit)
11:35pm : Listening to Alfred Cortot, one of my very favorite pianists and a great Chopinist, I think. I also think it was a good day. You are on a roll, whether you see the day-to-day aspect of it or not. You have already established yourself as an Artist. Believe me, girl - from the day you posted your "Autre Temps" video, you had established yourself because you aren't and weren't just someone posting on Youtube - you were and are a unique personality.
This is everything I am talking about. So, even with work and all the everydayness of life, just keep holding and focusing on that thing within you that prompted you to record that song, and that has continued to prompt you to take photographs, in which you have already begun to delineate your own style.
The bottom line with being an Artist (and that term is meant to be held inside, quietly, and nurtured) is that in the long run, it wouldn't matter if you never took another picture, never played another note, never wrote another stanza, etc., as long as you lived it in your spirit and in your thoughts, every day for the rest of your life.
That's the absolute bottom line, and once you establish that bottom line - and you already did, two and a half years ago - all you have to do is keep living it. Your art is ultimately for an audience, of one or a million, but before that - it is for You.
So, just keep your physical self in balance (eat right, blood sugar in check, etc), and don't worry when a couple days downtime occur. That happens. Remember that you have already established yourself, you are locked in as an Artist first and foremost because of the way you think and feel, and it is a connection that can never be broken, because it is between You and God.
That's all I know for tonight, my Darling. I Love You and will see you in the morning!
