No movie to report tonight. I have begun a new book, however - "A Secret Order : Investigating The High Strangeness And Synchornicity In The JFK Assassination" by H.P. Albarelli, who also wrote "A Terrible Mistake : The Murder Of Frank Olsen And The CIA'S Secret Cold War Experiments", a masterwork of investigation that I read and wrote about earlier this year. Albarelli specialises in research about the CIA's sinister MK-Ultra program, as well as digging up the truth about the chemical and biological warfare research at the US Army's Fort Detrick installation in Maryland.
What Mr. Albarelli has uncovered in his research, and revealed in his books, is so shocking that it would make any reader reconsider his faith in the governmental and military institutions of this country. It would also cause any reader to distrust the practice of psychiatry. It is so very depressing to read of the CIA's drug experiments on children, conducted through psychiatric research facilities in New York in the 1950s, that included testing LSD on autistic children as young as six years old, and using electroconvulsive "therapy" on similarly mentally disabled kids as young as three years old.
Electroconvulsive therapy is better known as Shock Treatment. You can Google it to see how unspeakably cruel it is. So just imagine a Shrink using it on a three year old, with funding from the CIA. If you can find me a more evil organisation, have at it; I'm all ears.
The writer Mr. Albarelli is no neophyte. He has a background in government security work and knows the territory. He is also an expert Freedom Of Information Act researcher (something I need to get good at). At any rate, at the beginning of the book, he is driving at a theory that Lee Harvey Oswald, when he was an adolescent living in New York City with his mother in 1952, may have been used in some of these experiments. He had been truant from school at 12 years of age and was ultimately sent to a reform school, where he was examined by a psychiatrist, who as it turns out was not only a sexual predator who wound up losing his licence, but was also likely working for the CIA.
LSD was new in those days, and what most folks are not aware of was that it was not Timothy Leary and The Hippies who first discovered it - it was the CIA. The CIA is a foreign-based agency (or is supposed to be, though they work against their fellow Americans too), and it was the CIA who got word of the new "wonder drug" being developed by the Swiss-based Sandoz Company : LSD. This was in the early 50s, and before too long, The Agency had requested and received a large supply of the drug from Sandoz, literally the only such supply of LSD in America at that time.
So to recap : It was the CIA who brought LSD into America. And they brought it so that they could use it in mind-control experiments, with prisoners and mentally disabled people in hospital settings as it's first unwitting subjects.
Evil, pure and simple. Not just "bad" or "wrong". And this happened right here in America, and that's only the tip of the iceberg.
Albarelli's research shows a lot of connections that suggest that Oswald was not only experimented on as a child, but that when he joined the Marines in 1956, he was further trained or programmed as an Intelligence Asset, for further possible use in who knows what.
It is very interesting indeed to compare Lee Harvey Oswald's childhood and military service, and subsequent mental breakdown, with that of Timothy McVeigh, of whom I devoted a year's worth of reading last year. The parallels are uncanny, though it would take me weeks to describe them all to you. You'd have to do the research and reading on your own, and I would not expect you to.
But therein lies part of the problem. America is a vast country, with about 375 million people. If only a small percentage, probably far less than one percent, read books like Hank Albarelli's, then how is the truth about these horrors ever going to be exposed to a mass audience?
I don't know the answer to that, so all I can do is suggest you do a little research of your own.
I cannot help but do it - I was simply living my life as a somewhat naive 29 year old, when my whole world was turned upside down.
Most astonishingly, I did not even realise this overwhelming fact until 1993, four years later.
I have recounted my reckoning, my awakening from induced amnesia, many times in the past.
What it did to me, meaning the events of 1989, was to make me wonder what my life was all about.
"Who am I", I have thought, "that such a thing would happen to me"?
And I have never gotten a single answer, not from the government - to whom I have written letters, and not from friends who were involved, who claim very unconvincingly to have no knowledge.
And so my own research continues, and I read every book I can get my hands on.
It is important to remember that, as Truly Evil as The CIA are, (and Skull & Bones and the whole bunch of them), they are still only people. They are not God. And so they can be taken down.
In the final analysis, they will be. And all their secrets will be exposed, and the truth will be told, and we will finally have our country back.
Just so long as we can admit what has happened to us. And in order to do that, we must step up to the plate. We must talk about these things, even if they frighten us, because that it the only way to bring the truth to light. The CIA sure isn't gonna do it for us.
